Tru, Erica & Blanca were amazing the morning of my wedding (at the salon). They took care of my hair and makeup and I loved how it all came out. Visited Texas (from NYC) to attend a wedding so was in search of a hair salon where they also offered makeup services. This is how we came upon the Bridal Suite.
First and foremost, we were really appreciative of True (co-owner)and her entire team (Bianca, Erica, etc.) for accommodating additional, last minute requests and for squeezing a few members of the family on a day they were double booked (we had few events to attend).
We were a group of approximately 10 people getting our hair and makeup done and True (and Bianca) made sure they fulfilled each and every single of our requests.
We were truly greatful of True and Bianca for coming to the hotel the next day to provide styling and makeup services for our large group. This made our lives much easier and convenient.
Overall, the team was very friendly and professional (don't be turned off by Bianca's attitude-she's a bit reserved at first but very warm once she opens up). We were satisfied with our services and glad we chose the Bridal Suite!

The concept of The Bridal Suite is perfect for any bride who is getting married at a venue that either doesn't offer a space to get ready in or you don't have enough time reserved at the venue to get ready. The fee to have the salon to yourself on your wedding day is beyond reasonable and their pricing is very fair. From the time I reached out, Tru was responsive and very flexible with any requests.

I could not have been happier with my wedding hair and make up done by The Bridal Suite team. I have very thin hair and Tru was able to make my hair look so full and voluminous for my wedding and I was so happy with how my make up held up through tears and sweat all day!

The salon is clean and cute and all of the stylists are so nice and fun to talk to. You can bring your own champagne (as much as you want) and food!

I used The Bridal Suite for my wedding about a month ago at The Astorian. They came to the venue to do hair and make-up for 5 bridesmaids, 2 moms, the bride, and flower girl. We had a range in hair style - long, short, shoulder length - and they were able to style it all with no issue. Everything turned out stunning! Our hair stayed in place even after whipping it back-and-forth on the dance floor, and our make-up survived dinner and drinks!! We received numerous compliments throughout the night. I would recommend The Bridal Suite to anyone!

The Bridal Suite saved the day nearly last minute for us when a friend who was supposed to do our makeup for my wedding day backed out. They were super nice and affordable. They were used to a more "natural" look that brides want but made my more extreme Twiggy inspired dreams come true! They came to our hotel downtown where we had a suite with chairs and mirrors for hair and makeup and got myself, seven bridesmaids and my mom all done quickly. Everyone was super happy and I was so thankful for their flexibility with payment coming from each person. Would definitely recommend working with this team!

Everything about working with The Bridal Suite was perfect. The trial was fun and productive and the team was able to take my vision and make it a reality. They opened up VERY early on a Sunday for the wedding, had the space all ready for my bridal party and family, and were just a joy to work with. A couple of weeks ago I found out very last minute that I would be attending a red carpet event and really wanted to get my makeup done. After calling The Bridal Suite to ask if they took walk-ins, Tru assured me it would be okay if I came in right then. 15 minutes later I was in the chair at The Bridal Suite letting Tru work her magic. She did such a fantastic job and was so pleasant to spend time with. She was very efficient (especially with my short time frame) and did an amazing job.
I didn't even know about The Bridal Suite before this day, but I will definitely be going back very often now.

I decided to try this place out to get my hair styled for a night out. I was not disappointed! The staff is so friendly and helpful. They started on my hair immediately, asking lots of questions to make sure they knew exactly what I wanted! Tru had a wedding that same day and still made sure to make it back to the salon before my appointment ended to personally greet me and make sure my hair was styled to my liking. My hair stayed put all night, and I got so many compliments! 10/10 place all around! I will definitely be using them again in the future.

Fantastic! Went in for a trial run which was for my bridals, I showed Tru a few pictures of what I like and she created her own version that was perfect! On the day of the wedding she came on site to the hotel with a second person. She was timely, professional , and managed to to do my hair, 10 bridesmaids and my mom. Everyone looked so beautiful and each girl had their own personalized style. I HIGHLY recommend using The Bridal Suite and could not be happier with their work!

This review is many many months overdue. I highly recommend her! Tru did my wedding hair and make-up in February, 2018. She is truly talented, personable, professional, accommodating and fantastic! She listened to how I wanted to look on my wedding day. This is my second marriage and I am an older bride. I wanted to look natural yet slightly more glamorous on my special day. A few guests had never met me before and did not believe I was within a decade of my real age. She is WONDERFUL !!

I couldn't have been happier with my experience working with Tru for my wedding! I told her that I wanted to "still look like myself" but with a more dramatic makeup look than I usually wear, which she definitely achieved. I told her I felt like a Pinterest photo when she was done - it was exactly what I wanted!

Tru & her assistants were timely, sweet, and very attentive to requests from my bridal party to ensure they felt beautiful for the wedding day. I worked with Tru leading up to the big day sending her photos of what I was liking in terms of hair and makeup which made me feel confident that I wouldn't end up with something I'd be unhappy with.

Tru was super accommodating in meeting me at my parents' house when I was in town for my hair & makeup trial, and also came to our wedding venue for the wedding day so I didn't have to rush around all day.

I don't wear a lot of makeup usually, so I was concerned about getting my makeup done. But I voiced my concerns to Tru, and she made sure my look was light and natural. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day!

She also created the perfect hairstyle for me, using the photos I had saved as a reference. At my trial run, she even recommended some small changes for the next haircut I got, which helped my hair look even better on my wedding day.

Tru was amazing. She was able to fit me into her schedule for my last minute wedding, even keeping me up-to-date on her whereabouts 30 minutes before my appointment (even though she travels for different events, I never had to worry about her not showing up or being late!). She asked me to send any pics before hand of what I was envisioning, listened to what I wanted, and was able to use that to reflect my personality in the final hairstyle and makeup. I was referred to thePrimpbar by a friend. I hosted a Girls Night Out with some of my girlfriends and decided to hire Primp Bar to come over to give us all blow outs. It was the best idea ever and the girls came and did a phenomenal job. I highly recommended them.

I tried out the Primp Bar based on a friend's recommendation and Tru did not disappoint! She listened and knew exactly what I wanted. I have called on her numerous times since the first appointment for hair/makeup needs and she makes me beautiful each time. My mom even uses Tru for weddings, formal functions, etc. She knows how to hide my flaws and accentuate my better qualities. The make up lasts all day and she also gives great advice while she makes me B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!

I recently had a get together with my girlfriends and thought it would be a fun to get our hair and make up done for a night on the town. It was great that we were all able to meet up at my house and the girls from thePRIMPbar were able to come over and do everything! It was so convenient and SO much fun! Tru did my hair and makeup, along with my sisters, mother in laws and moms hair and makeup for my wedding this past May. She did a fantastic job. She was very easy to coordinate with and gave great advice. I did a trial hair and make up a couple weeks before the wedding and she did a great job working with me and listening to the style that I wanted. I did the airbrush makeup, it lasted the whole day and looked great in wedding pictures. Overall I would highly recommend The Primpbar !

Tru is Ah-mazing! She did hair and make up for my bridal pictures which turned out amazing! She did my hair for my wedding and it turned out great too! After my bridal pictures I had to run errands at The Galleria and many people approached me to get her number. I also received many compliments. If ever I need a make up artist I know now to give her a call. She offers suggestions and makes sure that you are pleased with the final outcome. She is very calm and does not rush any detail. I highly recommend her.

Excellent! I used them for engagement, bridals and the day of the wedding! every time it was perfect. Truc is the best! She really knows her stuff. On the day of the wedding she brought another lady that did a great job as well! Pricing was good for make up($65). My bridesmaids thought the hair was a little too much($65) but I was fine with it. I would definitely use them again! All my bridesmaids and friends took their business cards. They use airbrush make up and it stayed on all night. I sweat...a lot...so don't worry. It'll last all day and night!

After a last minute realization that we had not yet found a hair and makeup person for my sister's wedding, I stumbled upon PRIMP Bar on yelp and thought I would see if they would be able to fit us in on such short notice. I received an email from Tru not so long after, and she was more than willing to fit us in and meet our needs.
Tru did not disappoint. One of the bridesmaids is very picky about hair and even she was immensely pleased. She helped us achieve our Pinterest dreams! The bride, who was hesitant to get her hair and makeup done to begin with, was so impressed and felt absolutely beautiful.

Tru did my hair/makeup for my wedding day and did a wonderful job!! She had two additional artists who did the hair/makeup for my 5 bridesmaids, flower girl, and the moms. They worked very quickly, were professional and did amazing work - everyone looked beautiful and polished. One of my bridesmaids does not normally wear makeup and was worried about not looking like herself, but she LOVED her look. Tru was very in tune with what we wanted in our looks, and made the day of so seamless and stress-free for me as a bride. I definitely have to do an update review, after my wedding date, but this is based off of the bridal hair trial I had yesterday.

One of the things I liked about Tru, was that she was one of the few people willing to do hair on Sunday as my wedding is taking place over two days. She also does make up too, lesson learned. Had I known earlier how hard it was to book two different people and found her earlier, I would have booked her for both.

The start of my appointment was terrible, because I arrived late. I had wedding shower drama. The dress I ordered didn't fit, had to buy white pants and a shirt and look icky and frumpy for my own bridal shower, with my mom keeping it too real and telling me maybe I am round. I think I was anywhere between 20-30 minutes late, because of that disaster and with the exception of the receptionist for JC who was rude, Tru acted professionally and didn't mention it.

I had a great time, during the hair trial as we shared stories and talked about those little interesting details in your life that isn't done often.

As for the hair, she listened to what I wanted. and easily replicated the pictures from my pinterest board. She gave plenty of good advice, including recommendations as to how much I needed to trim/cut off for optimal updo hold and added a few extra details, which I felt was nice.

I definitely tipped her the best that I could, because she deserved it.

Even though my clothes looked like crap, I knew by the end with a few cute accessories and an amazing hair I looked the part of the bride at the wedding shower. I received many compliments and was excited to know it would look even better, after we make the adjustments to my hair, namely the length, that we discussed.

If you're open to ideas and suggestions, I feel she can be a valuable ally and make you look your best. However, if you are picky and don't want suggestions, she can do that too. I was dead set my hair had to have a certain element and she complied, which was cool of her to do.

I will post pictures, after July 22/23 and please expect an updated review as to the wedding day experience. I hope this helped brides, because we really do need more updated and accurate wedding hairstylist reviews.
